The Immanuel girls volleyball team has been ranked #1 in the state in Division 5 for the last three weeks. Heading into the tournament they will be the home team with the right to host a home game. The home team has the advantage of familiar surroundings, more fans, and normal routine . . . usually. This year it’s possible/likely that the Regional Finals will feature our Lady Lancers vs. Turtle Lake. The Turtle Lake fans follow their team well; the AD is requesting, as is his right, that we choose a new location to host the Regional Final. The AD is scrambling to make that happen. The fact remains that the smaller capacity of our present gym has caused up to forfeit the home court advantage. The new gym facility is planned so that this would not be an issue in the future.
